BIO & RESUME
Andrew Newbold works with glass and various media to produce objects and installations. His works draw from life, experience, and a personal sense of place. He is motivated by a strong passion for making.
Newbold is currently the Instructional Lab Supervisor for the Glass and Sculpture Studios at The Ohio State University. He has also taught at Bowling Green State University, Kent State University, and Tyler School of Art. He received his MFA degree from Tyler School of Art in Elkins Park, PA. His BFA degree is from Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio. Newbold has been invited to lecture and demonstrate at several universities including Alfred University and The Cleveland Institute of Art. He has exhibited his work widely in the mid-west and east coast of the United States. His work has been published in The Urban Glass Quarterly and The Corning Museum of Glass “New Glass Review”.
